How this test works

The test has three short parts. Career interests asks how much you would enjoy 26 career fields, the same fields used in AICEPA's full assessment. Things you might enjoy balances your results across the six interest types used widely in career guidance: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising and Conventional (often called the RIASEC or Holland types). How you like to work looks at four everyday work preferences.

Your answers are added up with simple, published weights: three-quarters from how much you like each career field and one-quarter from how well that field fits your interest type, with a small boost for your favourite subjects. Your top two career paths are the groups that contain your best-fitting fields.

What it is not: it is not an ability or IQ test and it cannot predict success. Use it to start a conversation, not to make a final decision.

What your results mean

Interest code: your three strongest interest types, for example I-S-R (Investigator, Helper, Maker). Career paths: groups of related careers with example jobs and the usual study route in Pakistan (Matric/O Level → Intermediate/A Level → degree). Work style: where you sit between two preferences; neither side is better.

Frequently asked questions

Is the career test really free?

Yes. The snapshot is free and you see your results without signing up or paying.

How long does it take?

About 7 minutes on a phone. There are 46 quick questions plus 3 questions about you.

Who is it for?

Students aged 13 and over, from Class 8 to university. Younger students can take it with a parent, who receives the report.

Is this a psychometric test?

It is a short interest questionnaire. It shows patterns in what you enjoy; it does not measure ability and is not a diagnosis.

What is a Holland or RIASEC code?

A common way career counsellors describe interests using six types: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising and Conventional. Your code is your top three.

Do you save my answers?

We save your answers anonymously so you can see your report again. Contact details are only saved if you choose to email or save your report. See our privacy policy.

How is this different from the full assessment?

The full assessment asks more questions about your top two career fields and gives a 7-page report in English and Urdu, with strengths, careers and study routes for each.

Can I retake the test?

Yes, as often as you like. Your interests can change as you grow, so retaking after a few months is a good idea.
